I only fairly recently started sewing (Spring of 2024!). But wow!!! All that God can do in almost two years!!! The first sewing project I decided to take on was my own quilted hoodie, and I used an old quilt from my local Goodwill. At the time, I didn't really know anything about sewing and thought it would be best to just jump in on a project to learn. So that's what I did. I traced a pattern from an old hoodie I had and went for it. I fully taught myself how to sew by watching a million videos online, memorizing my sewing machine's instruction manual, and trial & error (a ton of error!). I fell in love with it all. My apartment very quickly became my studio!

It's been such a fun year and a half, and I'm excited this is only the beginning!!

The best thing about me is Jesus. He's my savior & my best friend. Sewing is a really special space for me and my relationship with the Lord. He has used it from the very beginning to heal my heart in what was a hard & lonely season of my life. All of this is such a testament to Jeremiah 29:11!

He has shown me a creative side of myself that I didn't know was there. As I was creating these hand-designed and intentional pieces, I was so beautifully reminded that that is who He is. He's the most intentional of all. The ultimate creative & Creator. And if we trust Him, He really does work it all out for our good and His glory!

I hope to show you how incredible vintage quilts are! Even more than that, though, how incredible the love of Jesus is.
